Since its inception in 2019, the project has been actively working in the slum areas of Kanchanpur, specifically in Bhimdatta Municipality-18, salghari,Kanchanpur, Slum Community., with the goal of improving the quality of life for marginalized communities, particularly focusing on women and children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 123 Project has had a significant impact in addressing critical issues related to poverty, gender inequality, and education within these slum communities. By empowering women and promoting sustainable development, the project is fostering long-term transformation at the community level.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Project Objectives: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>To reduce poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy by promoting sustainable livelihoods and providing quality education.<\/li>\n<li>Increase income generation for mothers in slum areas through professional vocational activities like sewing and tailoring. This program aims to equip them with essential skills for livelihood and provide a platform for entrepreneurship that helps improve their quality of life.<\/li>\n<li>To provide job opportunities for students who want to learn new skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key Expected Outcomes: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Children in slums will receive proper education, guidance, and access to job opportunities for themselves and their parents.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women have completed sewing training, and now they are earning an income through small businesses as employment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A significant number of after-school children have been reintegrated into the formal education system.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Increased community awareness about the value of girls&#8217; education, gender equality, and sexuality education.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The empowerment of women has been beneficial in helping them meet their needs and those of their children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Overview: The 123 Project is an initiative funded by the Gender Equality Training Platform (GET-P) in Korea and implemented by NEEDS Nepal.
